The scenery and landscapes in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia are inspiring, but the primary allure is the extraordinary diversity of wildlife in this region where the world’s remaining concentrations of wild mammals still roam free in their natural environments. Although many of the big cats, migratory animals, and other plains species are found in the reserves, flocks of animals are also seen in many outside areas.
Much of the land is rich pasture covered by shade trees, this providing ideal grazing and/or resting places for the animals, and there is a remarkable harmony when several separate species are found, each eating different grasses and herbs, yet none of them so numerous that they interfere with one another.
I knew that each day would be successful - the guides were excellent, the animals were abundant, and the hours went by far too quickly.
