Close Encounters...

Being passionate about my photography, I have roamed the earth to capture on film many rare sights and sites - nature’s glories, endangered species of wildlife, and tribal peoples.

In this quest I’ve traveled widely to find my subjects, to the Arctic, to the Antarctic, and to all the continents in between.

My work has been honored by the Royal Photographic Society and the Royal Geographical Society of Great Britain, each of which accorded me Fellowship. This has also led to my being interviewed on radio and television, and I have authored three books, one of which contains a foreword by HRH Prince Philip.

After living for twenty years in England where I was active in the Windlesham & Camberley Camera Club, I was privileged to be elected President Emeritus of that Club, a title I still retain.

As a speaker and lecturer, I present my multi-media slide shows to a broad spectrum of audiences, from universities to philanthropic organizations to photographic societies.

From the beginning, my camera of choice has been Hasselblad, a decision I’ve never regretted.

My goal has been to create through photography a better understanding of our world and the living things that exist in its less well-known places.
